RuffleButts, Inc. is a 10 year old ecommerce children's apparel company with a startup mentality and desire to build upon the track record of growth we've achieved.  As we look to add a new position to our entrepreneurial team - our ideal eCommerce Buyer candidate will be a ‘hands-on’ leader and have the background and skill set to contribute to company growth in many ways.

We need to be clear here - our company is a young and growing quickly - and we need a thought leader who is able to create processes from the ground up.  We aren't a decades old company with established reporting / existing systems pre-configured to spit out canned reports.  This position needs to be able to determine what raw data is necessary from our ERP & other systems and, most importantly, have the ability to quickly & accurately create spreadsheets from scratch to decipher the correct deliverables.

This analysis will be done across numerous facets of our company, inclusive of, but not limited to: demand forecasting and management of product replenishment, assisting the design team in new product development, management of flash sale partners, and development of key accounts with regard to planning and forecasting. 

This position reports directly to our CEO and has direct access to the rest of the C-Level leadership team.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the planning, demand forecasting, product recommendations, and execution of purchase orders for all brands under RuffleButts, Inc.
  • Fully plan, oversee and execute all inventory management, increasing revenues and decreasing costs. 
  • Manage the product development & planning for these key accounts inclusive of production fulfillment requirements and vendor compliance.
  • Partner with Sr. Leadership to develop ongoing business strategy and deliver based on that strategy.
  • Work with the sales team on national and international key accounts as part of our customer-centric sales approach.
  • Be entrepreneurial in daily business management and business development, demonstrating consistent initiative and performance.
  • Perform statistical analysis using historical data and current trends, recommending strategies to achieve goals and objectives
  • Analyze sales / inventory data to determine pricing strategies - both for new product release, as well as markdown schedules for existing items.

What You Need for this Position:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Apparel Buying, Merchandising, or Planning. Experience in eCommerce or children's a plus
  • The strong ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously without micro-management, making pro-active recommendations and meeting deadlines
  • History of relationship management, business development, proactive endeavors and a relentless desire to pursue brand & company growth
  • Knowledge of merchandising, current marketplace, and key retailers in the children's apparel industry
  • Must be able to establish and maintain relationships, both internally and externally
  • The ability to motivate others and thrive in a past-faced environment
